IntroductionMoney and politics have no place in sexuality. True sexuality is intimate - an escape from the noise of hierachies and aspiration. For so long sexuality has been repressed and controlled by religion and social engineering. Where religion fell away, capitalist marketing has quickly rushed in to fill the void. But in truth intimacy belongs to each and every one of us - it's not for abuse and control. Sex with the same person over and over again binds us to them in love and that is worth protecting. It's time to claim our right to love who we love, like what we like, and not be told otherwise. Let's stick up for our loins and hearts as our barometer for attraction and fight ridiculous magazines, TV and the like, who think we need guidance in knowing what turns us on - meanwhile selling us a cold, shallow caricature of what sex should be. BackgroundFeminism is thriving and changing the world around us as we speak. The women and men who fight the feminist cause are achieving wonderful things and this site is here to compliment them by exploring what sexuality is in the absence of oppressive 'sex = money' propaganda. Women are not for sale and men are not sexual consumers. Women are agents - not objects of desire. SummaryAgent of Desire is here to challenge distortions of female sexuality. |
